If I had a TabletPC... Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005, 8:23 p.m.
During one of the first lectures in school, which by the way was physics, I started thinking about what if I had a TabletPC then. I mean, Cat High uses tabletpcs in school now, and a tabletpc will definitly make studying more efficient. What software would I have in it? What model would I use? If I had a tablepc, here's what I'd install in it: And that's about it. Yea. If you noticed, all those software up there are free. Yep. Other than Konfabulator of course, not that it costs a lot anyway, and Flash, which I already have. I'd use OpenOffice to replace Microsoft Office, Firefox to replace the internet explorer, and I'll use the Mozilla Calender as my school diary. I'll use Konfabulator, which I will map to one of the keys on the screen, as my scientific calculator, calender, timetable, clock, and my own mini notice board. I'll also buy a good mini microphone to record lectures in case I ever feel sleep :p And also, its good to be able to listen to a lecture again should I miss anything. Yep. And I'd use iTunes to organise those recordings. Yep. Perfect education partner. Just one problem... anyone wanna offer to give me a TabletPC? :D I mean, seriously, an all in one device that will replace everything from my foolscap pad to my pencil box. All I'd need is perhaps a few pens and some paper for the tutorials, and that's it! I could even bring it to church to replace my bible! I don't even need a high end tabletpc! All I need is one with wireless internet (which is found in all tabletpcs) and that's it! :D So... got some cash to spare? Haha... It's okay, my heavenly daddy will provide it. Now all I've got to do is wait. :) Who knows, my earthly daddy may just get me one!! - Daniel
