Good bye Tech-whizZ... Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, 8:37 p.m.
I made a decision today. As of today, I will no longer be part of Tech-whizZ. Yea. You'll probably be wondering why. Well, I'm assuming Derek is reading this, so I'm not revealing why. One thing I learnt is that I will never regret my decisions, especially this one. This isn't the end of me in the tech news world though! :) It feels great to be free, by the way! :D I guess my departure would cause quite a something to Tech-whizZ... Honestly, this would have happened sooner or later. So I thought I better leave before anything starts or I won't be able to get out... None of my dreams and wishes have changed though. The only thing is that it will no longer happen to me in Tech-whizZ. It will happen... um... somewhere else... really soon. Yep. Damn, I hate to keep secrets. Sigh. Derek, if you're reading this, I have never lied to you, and I never lied to you in my letter, if you think that none of this makes sense. Anyway, I've been seeing many blessings in my venture in the past few days that's convincing me that I've made the right decision. For one thing, I will never claim credit for things I never did. I'm being frank here, and not trying to boast, but Tech-whizZ started because of me. I did the first site, I wrote the first articles, I set the standard for their reviews. Everything was well in Tech-whizZ. Everything but authority and power. Small companies like us should never have such things. I mean, seriously... "The management has noticed that..." Who you trying to kid? Actually, I pity Tech-whizz after I leave, cos now, there's noone there left. Other than Derek himself though. I'm sure he'll be able to find a team of people with the same interests as him, and I'm sure Tech-whizz will become a magazine someday. Derek has determination. He just lacks faith and trust. Ah well. God bless him. Heck, he doesn't even believe in God... Seriously, his loss. Period. - Daniel
