Merry Christmas!

Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, 11:41 p.m.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!!

So what have I been up to the past few days? Well, last Wednesday, I went to a rock concert at Orchard with Li Rong, Yi Zhen, Adelene and Shu Min. And get this: It's by my church!! That's right!! A CHRISTMAS Rock concert by New Creation Church!! It was soooo cool! Best Christmas celebration ever! And we celebrated the true meaning of christmas: Jesus. Jamie Yeo and Glenn Ong were the hosts that night. Apparently, our church was part of the Celebrate Christmas celebrations at orchard.

Christmas eve was kinda boring though. I expected our family to do something more "Family", like you know, play board games or something... but Dad decided to watch "The Man in the Iron Mask" together on a rented DVD... I mean, sure, its a really good movie... but you don't get together that well watching movies, it's just a bunch of people staring at a screen...

This year's christmas tree only had 3 presents: 1 for my grandparents (we got them one so that they "won't feel that we disrespect them (-_-")", and 2 hong baos for my sis and I from them (which they've been doing since long ago). Yea. Not that I mind I guess. Then in the afternoon of christmas, we went out for dinner. Dad brought us to Sentosa because his friend, May, invited us and the rest of their interesting friends over to dinner at the restaurant she works at. Got a chance to talk to them, and at the end of the day, they started calling me "Wise" and "Older than them" again .(Some reincarnation theory that I don't really agree with because it doesn't make sense to me, and I'm supposed to be "Older" than all of them, cos I "reincarnated" more times...) Don't think they're crazy, they're awesome people and very wise too. Its really cool to hang out with them...

Anyway, had a great time and stuff, and learnt loads of stuff about leadership. Did you know, by the way, that the Sentosa monorail will be closing in March 2005? Better go take a ride before you'll never get a chance!!

On Sunday, we went to the indoor stadium to attend church. All of us were there except Gordon, Adelene and Shu Min. Yao Qing brought Keefe along. I wasn't too happy with their behaviour there, but that's just me. Keefe didn't recieve christ or get convinced about anything at all, not surprisingly... Doubt he was even listening at all. Anywya, because of all the celebration in Orchard the past week, our church didn't organize anything special this sunday, but it was still meaningful.

After the service, Li Rong, Yi Zhen, and our new friends Amanda and Keen (from Li Rong's Israel trip) and I went for dinner at Bugis Juntion's food court. There, we talked about many things: life, faith, God, and stuff like that. I always enjoy such conversations. Gives you the chance to think, to share and to learn!

How about today? Well, Elsa, Yi Zhen and I went to East Coast park together today. We were there to teach Elsa to learn how to bike. In the beginning, Elsa and I were in rollerblades while Yi Zhen was in the bike as the 3 of us went out to look for a suitable place to bike. After which we found a training lane, where we finally taught her to bike. And with a little help and tips from a proffessional instructor who, praise the Lord, happened to be there, after an hour or so, she did it!! She can finally bike!! So happy for her!! She's happy too! Hallelujah!! We went to this food village in the park later to get some drinks. Elsa treated us to a coconut each there. Quite cooling! But I wasn't very fond of the taste, so I gave Elsa my coconut's meat. Then it began to rain real heavily... Yea. And the three of us were stuck inside this real small shelter of a table under the heavy rain. But all was well later, and we went home.

On the way back, we dropped by Toa Payoh Central and I finally got The Sims 2!! :D Yay!! That was my week I guess. How was yours?

Cool stuff:

Want a PlayStationPortable but can't wait for it to arrive or don't wanna pay S$999 for the import? Happen to own a PocketPC? Download the free PlayStation Emulator for the PocketPC here!!

If you own The Sims 2, check out this page for really awesome lots and some really good tutorials here.
