Damn... Then again...
Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, 8:11 p.m.
I hate getting sick... my throat just upgraded from being irritated to being a pain... sigh...
Anyway, the post examination programmes weren't as bad as I thought it'll be. The first day we heard Mr Chan Soo Sen give a talk, then went to do the NE quiz (which reminded me a lot of Simcity), followed by watching the Pirates of the Carribean at the auditorium. Recess was 45 mniutes long, then we checked our CCA points. I got an A1 with 10 points. They kinda left out my Chairman for SciNTech point, and my NJRC 2002 point. We're going to try and get CIP hours for our convention as well. Too good to be true? You're right. We ended with an hour and a half of physics practical, which ended quickly. Quite a fun experiment, if I may say so myself.
I wanted to go to HuaXia's place to talk about what happened on Wednesday, but I thought there's really nothing to talk about since what's happened has happened. Jap came over as well, and we ended up playing 2 rounds of Worms 3D (which I'm finally getting better at, and I'm finally starting to beat HX at :D), watched the season finale of Friends, and Scary Movie 3.
Today was a totally slacking day. Mr Leong tried to do cheers with our school. First of, I discovered that our school people just don't give a damn, because since so many people hate the school, there isn't any school spirit to get them to cheer well. That's a very very sad fact. I've already been hearing all day about people who hate his own school, and even heard one mention that once he leaves, he wants to have nothing to do with the school. Sigh... Secondly, Mr Leong kinda destroyed a cat high tradition, one that doesn't deserve to be broken. "Gong Jiao!" "Oi!" "Gong Jiao!" "Oi!" "Going Jiao!" "Ay Ba!" became "Gong Jiao!" "Tu feng meng jing! Oi!" Eww... Look's like we're never even going to be close to St Nick's school spirit... Thanks a lot Mr Leong, I needed that in my last few weeks in Cat High.
We watched The Last Samurai after that. It's a great movie. Good plot, good action, good morals. If you haven't seen this touching movie, you should. A pity all the Samurais had to be sacrifised to wake the Emperor up. At least he did. I was surprised the bad dude Omura wasn't killed. I thought it was interesting that Tom Cruise was acting as a "Nathan" in both Mission Impossible and this movie.
Anyway, after that we had an hours long recess. During recess I told my Sec 2 prefects who were having theirs there, about our day. I was like "We've been watching a movie from 8 to 11, and now we have an hour long recess, after which we're going to watch another movie!" They were like "What!?!" :p We were released at 12, although they were screening SWAT. Firguring that we'd rather miss the movie than watch it halfway, Jap, Hua Xia and I decided to go to J8 instead to spend out time before the practical in about 2 hours. We met Li Rong there, and one of the girls I go to church with. The only one whose name I can't remember... Oops :D Anyway, Jap managed to get 4 free tickets to watch Living with Lydia tonight (now as we speak) for him, me, HX and Pathatai. I decided to miss it cos of my throat and my fast draining energy. Chem prac started with me doing Titration again, cos I failed my Titration during the prelims. In the end, my teacher told me I was doing really well, and was surprised I missed the point during the real test. I did 3 readings, of only the last one was correct, so I took the first 2, which resulted me in losing 12 marks, and eventually failing the entire practical. Just my luck. Went home and slept through the day until 7, cos of my throat. *Cough Cough* Ouch.
Anyway, after lots of thinking, I realised that I am really quite self centered and do always talk about myself when I chat with people... probably because I never usually get to talk to people about things that go on in my life that I wanna share. That isn't enough for me to be forgiven though. So I decided that I shall take note of the things I say, and avoid talking to myself so much unless asked to. Like I did with talking about IT.
